Last year Florida Atlantic safety Ocie Rose found his way onto the field because of athletic ability.
Now, comes the time for him to impress with his mind.
After a breakout freshman season, Rose is hoping to match his smarts on the field with natural talent. He made an emphasis on better understanding the game in the offseason.
“My big emphasis was actually to learn the game more and really take coaching in a better way and actually know all my plays and get everything down pat,” Rose said.
Rose was one of the several freshmen to have impacts a year ago.
