BOCA RATON — Another day, another watch list recognition for Florida Atlantic running back Devin Singletary.
After being named to the Maxwell Award (best overall player) watch list on Monday and picked as the Conference USA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year later that day, Singletary (American Heritage) was one of 62 running backs picked to the Doak Walker watch list on Wednesday. The award is given to the best running back in college football.
Singletary, 20, led Division I with 32 rushing touchdowns last season – the third-highest total in FBS history – and ranked fourth with 1,920 rushing yards.
