Florida Atlantic running back Devin “Motor” Singletary was named Conference USA Player of the Week.
Singletary, a sophomore from American Heritage-Delray, rushed for 133 yards and tied the school record with four touchdowns in last Saturday’s 38-20 victory against Middle Tennessee State.
It was Singletary’s third consecutive 100-yard game. He leads the team with 492 yards and nine touchdowns. Singletary is just four scores shy of the single-season record, set by teammate Gregory Howell Jr., last year.
With 21 career touchdowns, Singletary needs just six scores to tie Alfred Morris (27) for that record.
