As Florida Atlantic struggled to generate momentum offensively during Saturday's 38-10 loss to Miami, it found a spark in receiver Kalib Woods.
Woods hauled in nine catches for a career-high 121 yards, accounting for more than half of FAU's total offensive output (214 yards). Woods, whose previous career-best was 87 yards, credited chemistry with quarterback Jason Driskel for the results.
"It was just a connection on the field," Woods said. "We're just running basic plays, day one plays that we put in. It was just working."
Three of Woods' nine grabs gained 20 or more yards and five resulted in first downs.
