When Florida Atlantic absorbed a 49-point loss to Western Kentucky on Oct. 29, the Owls record slipped to 1-7. Their losing streak stretched to seven games.
But the game still might have paid dividends for the program that has since won back-to-back games after that blowout loss. On Saturday night after FAU's 35-31 win over UTEP and again Monday morning during his weekly news conference, coach Charlie Partridge talked about a different attitude he had seen from his players
"We're better than we played that day [against WKU]," FAU coach Charlie Partridge said.
