Florida Atlantic quarterback Jason Driskel's reputation was built with his arm. It was what allowed him to gain experience last season and demonstrate consistency this preseason.
During FAU's 38-30 win over Southern Illinois on Saturday, though, Driskel revealed another layer to his game: running the football. The redshirt sophomore rushed for 41 yards on 12 carries including a touchdown.
Driskel was touted as a dual-threat quarterback out of Hagerty High School in Oviedo, but he had yet to flash that potential as an Owl. He had never rushed for more than 16 yards in a game and had twice recorded negative rushing days.
