BOCA RATON — While Herb Miller has moved past Florida Atlantic’s historic 2017 season, that’s not stopping the senior cornerback from having high hopes for 2018.
“All of a sudden, FAU is the Alabama of Florida,” Miller said. “Everybody wants to come here now.”
Not that Miller, a Miramar native, is directly comparing the two states. Miller, of course, is comparing the Owls, who went 11-3 last season after not posting a winning record since 2008, to perennial National Championship contender Alabama. As in, the same Alabama Crimson Tide program which has five National Championship wins since 2009 and has won double-digit games in each of the past 10 seasons.
