Florida Atlantic University offensive coordinator Brian Wright left the program earlier in the week, and Sports Illustrated is reporting that Samford offensive coordinator Travis Trickett will be hired.
Wright, who was also associate head coach, according to multiple reports was let go by coach Charlie Partridge after the Owls' 3-9 season. Four of their losses were by fewer than seven points.
Trickett completed his fifth season with Samford (6-5) and his fourth as offensive coordinator. Before that, he was graduate assistant at Florida State since May 2008.
Wright came to FAU in January 2012 season from Montana State, where he was also offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
