Florida Atlantic hired Jim Jabir as its new women’s basketball coach, holding an introductory news conference Thursday morning.
Jabir spent 13 years atop Dayton’s women’s basketball program before resigning in September last year, citing health reasons. At Dayton, Jabir took a team that went 3-25 in his first year to the NCAA Tournament six times, including an Elite Eight appearance in 2015.
“The goal here is to go to the NCAA Tournament, and it’s to graduate and have really good citizens,” Jabir said. “We’re going to win championships here. It’s not boastful to say.
