Before Florida Atlantic defensive tackle Shalom Ogbonda submitted a career-best game Saturday, Owls coach Charlie Partridge issued him a challenge.
Partridge wanted more focus and effort from Ogbonda, a redshirt senior who totaled just five tackles through the season's first three games.
"He's always pushing me to be better," Ogbonda said. "He challenged me in front of the team, and I just have to look at is as positive, because all he wants is the best out of me. I had to practice harder the next couple days."
In FAU's 31-27 loss to Ball State on Saturday, Ogbonda registered a career-high nine tackles, including one sack.
