Baseball: Winning weekend follows forgettable Friday

Florida Atlantic baseball scored eight runs in the bottom of the ninth inning in Friday’s loss to Georgetown, but took Saturday and Sunday’s games over the Hoyas by a score of 6-0 and 14-2, respectively.

Trailing 13-3 in the ninth inning in Friday night’s game, the Owls (9-1) wouldn’t go away without a fight.

Junior second baseman Stephen Kerr started the comeback bid with a three-run homerun.

Eventually, FAU put the potential tying run on second base with just one out. However, Kerr and senior centerfielder Billy Endris struck out as the Owls came up one hit short, 13- 11.
