In the week since he's been named Florida Atlantic's starting quarterback, Jason Driskel has been able to breathe easier.
Since Aug. 23, Driskel has not carried the burden of doubt, waiting for the FAU coaching staff to decide between himself and Daniel Parr. Driskel no longer worries whether he will play or sit behind the heralded local kid. Instead, he has been able to unwind.
"It's human nature to be a little stressed out in that situation," Driskel said. "Once the verdict is made, you relax a little bit. But you can't relax in the sense that you're not pushing yourself every day to be better.
