Make no mistake, there are no signs of ruffled feathers from Conference USA’s elite defenders when it comes to FAU star running back Devin Singletary’s talents.
If anything, as Marshall linebacker Chase Hancock explained at the C-USA Media Kickoff in Texas earlier this month, those tasked with stopping the American Heritage alumnus can’t help but respect him.
“It’s unreal,” said Hancock, who joined Singletary on the league’s All-Preseason Team. “He gets through holes that (you wonder) how the heck did he get through there? We have to be for sure tacklers when it comes to him.”
Singletary ran for a league-high 1,920 yards and a conference-record 32 rushing touchdowns last season.
