The 2021 MLS SuperDraft is set for this Thursday to help usher in a new season for the league. This year’s draft is only three rounds after the league trimmed the fourth round out (most teams passed last year in that round, so it was a logical step to take).
FC Dallas will have five picks in the annual draft, including the 15th overall pick in the first round thanks to a recent trade with the Colorado Rapids. Dallas was previously set to draft at number 21 in the first round.
Here is when Luchi Gonzalez and company will be able to pick players in Thursday’s draft:
- First round - 15th
- Second Round - 48th
- Third Round - 75th, 76th and 79th
The 76th and 79th picks in the third round also came via trades in recent years.
