Two worlds collide in soccer this weekend as the long time kings of indoor soccer, the Dallas Sidekicks, will travel to Fort Worth to take on the Vaqueros of the NPSL.
Saturday is the Vaqueros Fan Appreciation Night and they had been scheduled to play OKC Energy's U-23 side. When the Energy unexpectedly withdrew from the match earlier this week, putting the Fan Appreciation Night match in jeopardy, the Sidekicks stepped in to save the day.
"We are thrilled that the Sidekicks organization was willing to help us out on short-notice and not only that, depart from their indoor roots to ensure Fan Appreciation Night carried forward," Vaqueros director of business operations, Tobias Xavier Lopez said.
