FRISCO -- When FC Dallas looks back on its 2016 season, it will be remembered as a success. The team won a trophy for the first time in 19 years, then lifted the Supporters' Shield for the first time in club history.

Right now, though, the 4-2 aggregate defeat to the Seattle Sounders in the MLS Cup playoffs that cut short a dream of winning three domestic trophies still hurts.

"It's that feeling that you think that it's not enough," coach Oscar Pareja said. "Thinking that we gave two trophies to the city, to the club and have as we said during the season putting ourselves in the position that we did.
