In September, Keaton Parks made his first start for second division side Varzim S.C. Parks, who went to Frisco Liberty High School and was committed to SMU for soccer, signed with the Portuguese side last year, taking a different route than many players who do not play in the academy have done.

For the first part of the season, Parks didn’t receive much playing time under then manager Armando Evangelista. That changed when he was sacked, due to Varzim’s standing in the relegation zone. Joao Eusebio was appointed as the new Varzim manager on October 14th.
