Despite a strong effort against a team bound for the playoffs, including heroics from Juan Gamboa and Jamie Lovegrove, the Dallas Sidekicks lost their final game of the season to the Rio Grande Valley Barracudas, 5-4, in front of 2,387 Saturday night at the Allen Event Center.
The game started with both teams fighting for the first goal, but it did not come until 8:10 into the first period. Cameron Brown had earned a free kick by forcing the Barracudas to foul him in the attacking zone.
