It feels like ages since FC Dallas was almost going to play in the MLS is Back tournament earlier this month before having to withdraw due to nearly a third of the team contracting the coronavirus in Orlando.
As Major League Soccer looks to wrap up the tournament and resume their 2020 season in the home markets, there have been reports as to how they would do that. The Athletic detailed out how that might happen, beginning on August 22. One of those wrinkles to the league’s plan was for FC Dallas and Nashville SC to play three games against one another to help make up for the fact that both missed out on the Orlando group stage (those games counted towards the regular season).
