Most FC Dallas players participated in the team's friendly against Liga MX side Club Tijuana on Sunday as they continued to stay fit for the 2019 MLS season.
Except for one Reggie Cannon.
Cannon played 90 minutes in the U.S. men's national team's 1-0 loss to Mexico in the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup final. After not starting the first two group matches, Cannon started in the team's 1-0 win over Panama, impressing coach Gregg Berhalter. In the semifinal game, Cannon provided an assist to Weston McKennie, another FC Dallas academy product, in a 3-1 victory over Jamaica.
