Who needs actual games for soccer drama when you've got the FC Dallas offseason midfield mystery?
First, today Dallas dropped the news of the signing of Juan Esteban Ortiz, a Colombian defensive midfielder. Depending on how closely you follow the club that would have come as a surprise or not.
That's because at the midpoint of the 2015 season club Technical Director, Fernando Clavijo, signed both Panamanian international Rolando Escobar and Argentine Ezequiel Cirigliano. On December 3rd, the club sent out a release stating both were "under contract" for 2016, so signing another veteran holding mid would be superfluous for a team with both Victor Ulloa and Kellyn Acosta.
