Part of the National Soccer Hall of Fame's first class inducted in Frisco, Don Garber is still growing MLS into a world player

FRISCO -- Don Garber would like you to know that he's still working. The Major League Soccer commissioner is set to be enshrined in the National Soccer Hall of Fame on Saturday, part of the first class to be inducted at the new facility that forms the north side of Toyota Stadium.

FC Dallas chairman and CEO Clark Hunt, who will present Garber at Saturday's ceremony, said he's confident more is coming from Garber, who has taken the league from the brink of bankruptcy to a thriving enterprise seen as a growing player in world soccer. Even so, he said, the way Garber, Hunt's late father, Lamar, and other owners set the league on a course for success merits the recognition.
