The Oklahoma City Energy FC has signed midfielder Alejandro Covarrubias for the 2017 USL season - pending league and federation approval.
The 25-year-old American has spent the last three years playing with the Los Angeles Galaxy’s reserve side, Los Angeles Galaxy II. While with the California-based club, Covarrubias played 76 matches at the midfield position, scoring one goal.
Before joining the Los Angeles Galaxy, Covarrubias played at Cerritos College and Cal State for three years before electing to forgo his senior career in order to join the USL side.
The Manhattan Beach native has international experience under his belt, frequently playing the United States’ U18 and U20 teams.
