The Oklahoma City Energy FC has announced the signing of defender Richard Dixon for the 2017 season, pending league and federation approval.
Born in Hanover, Jamaica, the 26-year-old defender has been somewhat of a journeyman in North America. Playing for multiple sides in America’s lower divisions, Dixon has played for five times in the last six years. The Jamaican’s resume includes Mississippi Brilla, Panama City Beach Pirates, VSI Tampa Bay FC, Charlotte Eagles, and Saint Louis FC.
The 26-year-old played college soccer for the West Florida Argonauts where he earned the Gulf South Conference Player of the Year award in 2009 and 2012.
