As soccer at all levels continues to grow there are now three local teams playing in the National Premier Soccer League: Fort Worth Vaqueros, Denton Diablos, and Dallas City FC. All three clubs play in the Texas-based Lone Star Conference, one of four conferences in the South Region.
Also in the Lone Star Conference are Katy 1895 FC, Laredo Heat SC, Midland-Odessa FC, and Tyler FC. All Lone Star Conference clubs will play a round robin schedule, facing every other team in the conference twice.
The Fort Worth Vaqueros were founded in 2013 and are owned by Michael Hitchcock.
