North Texas SC and Austin Bold FC announced today an agreement to terminate the loan contract of defender Brecc Evans, allowing the 20-year old to return to North Texas effective immediately.
Evans captained North Texas SC to the inaugural USL League One title in 2019, playing 24 games and contributing to 11 clean sheets in his debut season.
Evans made the bench in Austin’s first game back, a 3-1 loss to OKC Energy, after the delay due to the coronavirus pandemic that shut down sports around the globe.
While Evans would have likely done well in 2020 up a division in the USL Championship with Austin, this calendar year has proven not to play anyone any favors here.
