FC Dallas defender Moises Hernandez was missing from FC Dallas training on Wednesday because, according to Head Coach Luchi Gonzalez, Hernandez has been loaned to San Antonio FC. Coach Gonzalez also confirmed FC Dallas retains the right of recall on Hernandez at any time.
At the age of 27, Hernandez is no longer a player that the club should be looking to develop for the future. He is in effect an insurance policy. Loaning Hernandez out to a USL side is about getting and keeping him game fit and sharp so that if he is needed in an MLS game he will be ready to play.
