The first weekend of the MLS season is usually fraught with ties or odd results between teams still trying to figure themselves out. Last year saw the Houston Dynamo smoke Atlanta United, 4-0, in their first game so let's not jump to too many conclusions based on one game for each team. Besides, in many instances, the results did not really give us much to go on.
On the other hand, we can see a few things that we can lean on. First of which is that we were likely very wrong about Toronto FC. Unfortunately for some teams that were poor last year, it appears this season is going to be more of the same.
