A pair of FC Dallas players, midfielder Paxton Pomykal and center back Matt Hedges, are set to take part in Wednesday's MLS All-Star game.
The 19-year-old Pomykal was added to the roster by Commissioner Don Garber as one of two selections -- an honor to be sure for the rising star but one that also could come with draw-backs. Pomykal missed FCD's win against Sporting Kansas City two weeks ago and played only 30 minutes in Saturday's scoreless draw against Real Salt Lake.
That said, neither he nor head coach Luchi Gonzalez are too concerned about Pomykal overexerting himself in the exhibition against Atletico Madrid.
