FC Dallas U-18/19 midfielder Diego Letayf has been called up to the Mexican U-17 national team for a 10-day camp in Southern California. Starting tomorrow, the camp will include two games against the LA Galaxy Academy, a scrimmage with California State University, Bakersfield and a fourth game that has yet to be announced.
Letayf was previously in the US national pool, having been called up to U-15 camp in 2015, but was named to a U-17 camp with El Tri earlier in the month as the team prepare for May's Concacaf U-17 Championship in Florida. Letayf would likely face FC Dallas teammate Ricardo Pepi should Mexico face the US in the knockout stages.
