Keaton Parks, a Plano native, has officially been given the clear to register with Benfica's B team and is now eligible to play for the team in the Segunda Liga.
Keaton Parks, the Plano native, made his debut for Benfica's A team in a cup match against Vitoria Setubal, subbing on in the 71st minute.
The midfielder went from his Liverpool club team, which was not an academy, to Varzim SC, a club in Portugal's second division.
After playing in multiple games for Varzim, he attracted many suitors across Europe but was barred from training after a rejection of a transfer to another second division side.
