When the Columbus Crew come to Toyota Stadium on Saturday, there will be thousands of fans rooting on home team FC Dallas. There will be away supporters cheering for Columbus. And there will be a third group supporting what it hopes will soon be its players.
A group of supporters from Austin are headed north on I-35 to take in a professional soccer match, something they hope to be able to do without the long drive in 2019.
Around a year ago, word began to filter out that Columbus owner Anthony Precourt and his company, Precourt Sports Ventures, was looking to move the Crew from Columbus to Austin.
