How FC Dallas took a 2-0 win over Philadelphia Union despite multiple missed scoring opportunities

On a Saturday night where the weather threatened the game but for the most part held off, the only really threatening thing on display at Toyota Stadium was the FC Dallas offense.

FCD took advantage of the Philadelphia Union defense numerous times and came away with a 2-0 victory. Dallas peppered the Union goal with 17 shots on the night and if not for some average first finishing, the scoreline could have been much worse.

FC Dallas had a season-high 11 corners in the game, but without playmaker Mauro Diaz, who subbed on in the 61st minute, the delivery form the corners was subpar to say the least and no chances came from them.
