The draw for the First Round of the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup took place this Wednesday to determine the opening games of the tournament. Four teams from Texas will enter in this round, including Dallas-based amateur NTX Rayados who won their way into the tournament over the weekend.
All four games involving Texan teams will take place on Wednesday, May 8. NTX Rayados will travel to Little Rock, Ark, to play the Little Rock Rangers of the NPSL. Midland-Odessa Sockers FC will host FC Denver, and Laredo Heat SC will host Brazos Valley Cavalry FC.
NTX Rayados will compete in their 8th Open Cup this year, extending the record they already hold for most tournaments and most consecutive tournaments qualified for by a USASA team.
