FC Dallas made a bit of news this morning with the signing for Academy graduate Eddie Munjoma to a Homegrown contract. Munjoma will be under contract until 2022, with club options from 2023, 2024 and 2025 seasons.
The signing of Munjoma puts Dallas at 27 Homegrown Players who had been signed by the first team and Eddie’s situation is also a first, as he is the first Academy product to go to college, get a degree and then come back to the club. There have been others who’d left to go to college first (i.e. Reggie Cannon), but Munjoma’s the first to also pick up a college degree too.
