In what has to be the most confusing and frustrating player sale in Major League Soccer history, the deal FC Dallas stated was "dead", as it turns out, was not. Earlier today we broke the news Fabian Castillo would be sold to the Turkish Super Lig side, Trabzonspor.
As reported by SI's Brian Straus, the financials turned out to be $3 million now and an additional $1 million in January 2017. If Trabzonspor fails to make that second payment rights to Castillo return to MLS.
The last part of that agreement is exactly the element which seemingly nixed the deal in the first place.
