Seattle Sounders forward Clint Dempsey's red card after video review in FC Dallas' 3-0 win Sunday over the Sounders was one of the biggest talking points of the MLS weekend. There was plenty of debate about whether or not Dempsey threw an elbow at FC Dallas midfielder Jacori Hayes or if he was reaching back to swat away Hayes' hands.
Hayes said Tuesday he's heard some of the speculation but is sure he got hit.
"It was just me marking in the box. He was a little upset that I was touching him, but that's how you defend in this league.
