MLS Cup is right around the corner, December 9th to be specific. And like every expansion year, this year will see an expansion draft shortly afterward. Like three days afterward, give or take.
MLS has yet to announce the rules of this year's expansion draft, but the previous version of them have varied only a little. Only one team will be picking this year, Los Angeles FC. Last season with two teams picking, Atlanta United and Minnesota United, each team picked five players. That was down from previous versions where each team picked 10 or more players.
