Mexico U17 head coach Marco Antonio Ruiz has called in a 27 man squad for a training camp in Acapulco and Mexico City as part of preparations for the U17 Concacaf Championships in May. FC Dallas U17 holding midfielder Diego Letayf has been named to the squad for the April camp.
A smooth, game controlling holding-mid for the FCD U17s, Letayf has recently been one of the handful of Academy players called into North Texas SC training as an amateur. Letayf has been called into two other Mexico U17 camps recently after he was spotted playing for FC Dallas against a Mexico U18 team during an FCD camp/tournament trip to Mexico.
