FC Dallas will welcome a world champion from another walk of life as the Frisco club have signed a promotional agreement with IMPACT Wrestling. The Toronto-based promotion bring their top-tier event, Slammiversary, to Dallas on July 7, and will hold a series of promotional events with the MLS club. The highlight will see IMPACT Wrestling's World Heavyweight Champion Brian Cage attend FC Dallas' July 4 fixture with D.C. United.
Cage will presumably take the role as scarfer of the Lamar Hunt statue for the game, after a release from IMPACT Wrestling mentioned Cage's participation in the half time penalty kick for charity against FC Dallas mascot Tex Hooper.
