Despite hectic schedule, missing pieces, here's why FC Dallas isn't feeling sorry for itself ahead of game vs. Toronto FC

Hopefully, FC Dallas enjoyed the 'break.'

While Major League Soccer play paused for two weeks during the opening weeks of the Gold Cup group stage, FCD is back in action Saturday against Toronto FC. That doesn't mean the Gold Cup is over. With a July 7 final for the continental competition, players may not be back from that tournament (or from Copa America) for another two and a half weeks.

In that spell, FCD will play five times including a friendly match against Tijuana. Toss in the fact that FCD also has played in the U.S. Open Cup during the last two weeks, and you have a team that will need to be doing a fair amount of regeneration sessions.
