VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Ali Adnan and Lucas Venuto scored in the first half, then Vancouver held off an FC Dallas charge in a 2-1 victory Saturday at BC Place.
In the 30th minute, Adnan received a pass 15 yards from the penalty area and split FC Dallas' Michael Barrios and Reggie Cannon as he entered the area before powering toward the net and smashing a high shot into the top right corner.
Venuto beat Jesse Gonzalez with a low shot in the 40th to make it 2-0. The goal was the reward of a perfectly placed back heel pass from Fredy Montero.
