The rumor got floated out the week before last and now it has become official. FC Dallas has acquired Trinidad and Tobago defender Aubrey David on loan from Costa Rican club Deportivo Saprissa.
The loan is for the rest of the year. There is no official word on if there is a buy-on clause to the deal but given how most loan agreements work in MLS, I would imagine there will be one.
The 25-year old David add to the club’s defensive depth for the second half of the season. He can play pretty much any position on the back line, which is a plus right given the recent injury situation the club’s defense has faced to begin this summer.
