Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert has undergone ankle surgery in late May and is in danger of missing the start of the 2016 NFL season. He was a breakout star last season. In just 13 games, Eifert caught 52 passes for 615 yards and 13 touchdowns. Before getting injured in mid-December Eifert was Fantasy gold. He was all but assured to be a top three tight end Fantasy option this season. That may no longer be the case.
The surgery Eifert underwent was considered minor.
