Perine is an outstanding rusher and has a shot to be the school’s all-time leading rusher by the time this upcoming season concludes. He’s less than 1,100 yards from the record. However, he’s also on pace to break Steve Owens’ career carries record (958). Injuries are the primary concern with Perine, not talent.
