San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates is dealing with an MCL sprain and was forced to sit out Week 7. There is a good chance he sits out again this week. He did not practice Wednesday, an MCL sprain is a multiple week injury and Gates comments weren't overly encouraging. It was also reported he wasn't close last week. "One thing I've learned is that when you play, you have to feel like you can make a difference or contribute at some point," Gates said. "Sometimes you get out there and you actually hurt the team.
