The Denver Broncos waived running back Montee Ball. Ball survived the initial cut down to the 53-man roster but did not make it through the waiver adds. If the Broncos weren't trying to trade Ball, odds are he would have been cut on Saturday. He can now be claimed by any team that wants him or will become an unrestricted free agent.

It was pretty much a given that Ball wouldn't be on the roster when the Broncos kicked off the regular season. It was only a matter if anyone was willing to give up anything to get him.
