The San Francisco 49ers have signed free agent running back Pierre Thomas. A recent rash of injuries to the 9ers backfield made this a necessary acquisition.
Fantasy Analysis:
Prior to the signing, it was looking like it was going to be Kendall Gaskins or bust in San Francisco. If nothing else, Thomas should provide depth and can contribute in the passing game. He's not worth an add in Fantasy leagues unless you're really desperate or in a very deep league. There is a reason he didn't have a contract until now.
