As of right now, for one year and $10 million, quarterback Jay Cutler is officially out of retirement. Cutler has been playing in the NFL since 2006. In that decade, half of those years he has finished as a top-20 quarterback. Plus, another three years as a top-25 quarterback.
Cutler will be the Miami Dolphins’ starting quarterback, replacing Ryan Tannehill (ACL) with Matt Moore remaining in a reserve role. Cutler can zip the ball down the field to big-time receivers. The Dolphins have three huge targets in DeVante Parker, Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills. In Chicago, Cutler didn’t have these type of weapons behind him.
