In the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ training camp, there is battle raging on. The battle is for the tight end position between Cameron Brate and rookie O.J. Howard. And so far, O.J. is killing it.
The Bucs believe that Howard is ready to go, day one, as a blocker and is an important part of their receiving game. However, Brate is not going out without a fight. He is siphoning snaps and targets on the first team reps. Plus in 2016, Brate recorded 57 receptions for 660 yards and 8 touchdowns. Whereas, Howard recorded 45 receptions for 595 yards and 3 touchdowns for the University of Alabama.
